William Fitts Asbury


Born: Apr. 19, 1924 at Tacoma, Pierce County, WA.

Died: Mar.  1, 2015 at Olympia, Thurston County, WA.


His father was 1887 Joseph Lester Asbury.

His mother was 1893 Isabel Fitts.


He was married May 20, 1955 to 1934 Janet Joy Ward
in New York, New York.  They had five children together:

  1960  April Asbury
  1964  David Aaron Asbury
  1969  Alexandra Victoria Asbury

while Bill was working as a deck-hand.

Here is an autobiography Bill wrote in about 1998 at the age of 74.
