1890 Benjamin H. Ward

Died: July  9, 1961 at Sidney, Delaware County, NY

He is buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge, NY


His father was William Ward.  No information available.

His mother was Ida Anderson.  No information available.

Family lore is that Ida "took off" after having five children with
William: Banjamin, Thomas, Ira, and two girls.  They were all sent
to an orphanage; the boys used to skip school and hang out at the
roundabout; later they ran off and lived with their father, who
was living in Bainbridge, NY.  The girls remained at the orphange.


He was married July 23, 1928 to 1897 Myrtle Ida Sherman.

They had these children together:

  1934 Lloyd Ward
  1936 Lila Ward
  1938 Loren Ward
  
At some point Benjamin got a job tending fires at the local
sugar milk factory.  Myrtle used to drive him to work.
