Terry 1916 Dorothy Gladys Terry Here is a transcription of his obituary published on Feb. 20, 1967: William Terry, age 80, of 42 High Street, Oakland side, Susquehanna PA, died early this morning at Barnes Community Hospital (now known as Barnes Kasson Hospital) in Susquehanna, PA. He was born in Cascade Valley and spent his entire life in this area. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Susquehanna and was a former trustee and elder of the Church. He was a retired employee of the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad, and a member of the Susquehanna division of the B.A.R.E. 89 and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineermen local 830. He was also a member of the Canawacta Lodge 360 F&AM, a treasurer and past Master of the lodge, a member of Susquehanna Chapter 276 Royal Arch Masons, St. Andrews Commandry 27, the Starucca Lodge 423 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and a past Noble Grand. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Terry (nee Rose) of Susquehanna; a son, Norman D. Terry of Lanham, MD; a daughter, Mrs. Maurice (Dorothy) Botts, Hornell, NY; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, also several nephews, nieces and cousins; also three sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held from the Langford Funeral Chapel, Main St., Susquehanna, Thursday at 11:00 AM with the Reverend John Graves, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and evening. Masonic services will be held at the funeral chapel Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM.
