Here is a transcription of the newspaper account of his death: Lewis S. Dutcher, 80-year-old resident of Coventry, Chenango County, NY died at his home on Saturday night, after a long illness. Mr. Dutcher was born in Coventry, August 25, 1856 and lived there all his life. He was a charter member of the Coventry Grange, a Past Master, and a member of the present Executive Committee. He was one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Coventry. Funeral services were held at the Harry R. Rogers Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19 (1937) at 2:00 PM. Rev. J.M. Coleman of the M.E. Church of Greene officiated. Burial was made in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery in Greene, Chenango County, NY. Mr. Dutcher is survived by his wife, Jennie Dutcher, a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Robinson, a son Henry Dutcher, and two grandchildren. He died Jan. 16, 1937. N.B.: Coventry is on New York State Route 206 between Greene and Bainbridge.
